Journey

I've journeyed miles on my bare feet

Calluses and wounds I had to ignore

It seems there is no end of this street

And I've never felt so sore.

Oh the stories I could tell,

Of my stumbles and mishaps

There was this one time I fell

And another when I got lost and came across some deathtraps.

Here and there, I've walked and ran

Searching, just searching for a way out

I never knew how this all began

And to have feel not this worn-out.

Finally, I reached my destination

My ultimate end and to where I truly belong

I sighed in relief to my motivation

And released my tears of happiness that I prolonged.
